World Of Pugata

Our Journey

Pugata was founded by a love of luxury and developed by a small team of jewellery enthusiasts. It has grown to embody the perfect mix of eclectic and modern design, classic heirlooms and outstanding craftsmanship.

Pugata was born in 2015 in a small office in Yorkshire. Surrounded by sketches, loose stones, great ideas and inspiration, the team started to pull together the essence of the company. Quality, service and integrity would be the key foundations of the company and it has remained that way. We also wanted our jewellery to tell a story. Each piece is inspired and has been designed with someone or something in mind.

Ethics & Institutions

Pugata is proud and determined to uphold the highest standards of ethics and integrity and have affiliated with several trusted institutions within the jewellery industry.

We adhere to the Kimberly Process for diamonds and ensure that all our gemstones and precious metals comes from reliable ethically sourced companies around the world.

We are members of the National Association of Jewellers, the leading professional trade membership body representing over 2,000 companies that operate in every aspect of the UK jewellery industry. Every NAJ member abides by the NAJ’s Code of Conduct, based on honesty, integrity and professionalism.

We are also members of Assay Assured, a 550 year old institution set up to certify and guarantee the authenticity of precious metals sold within the industry.

Craftsmanship

We take immense pride in the quality of the pieces that we produce. The entire team has been recruited because of their outstanding work in the jewellery industry, which means at each stage of development you’re in the very best hands. With over 30 years’ experience, our team of CAD designers, gem experts and goldsmiths will ensure that only the highest standards are good enough, irrespective of price.

At every stage of development, it is assessed and signed off, ensuring that each piece is perfect before it reaches you.

How it’s Made

We take pride and pleasure in taking our clients on the journey that each of our pieces of jewellery takes, from the initial conception to the finished article. Throughout the process, each step is carefully considered and approved with our clients before we produce the final  piece. We are fortunate enough to own our production facilities which means we have complete control over all of the jewellery we produce.

The journey usually starts with one of our designers. They will sit with each client and ensure that they have collected all their requirements. Each one of our designers has a unique style and they pour will their individuality & inspiration into each piece. After which it’s passed onto our specialist 3D designers. We use the latest CAD technology and 3D printers which allows us to get an incredibly realistic render on screen. Once we are happy with the 3D renders, the item is then sent to print, after which a mould is made, allowing us to reproduce any design quickly and efficiently.

Whilst this process is happening, our gemologists are busy selecting the perfect gems. We are fortunate in having a team with decades of experience in this field, which means that all our diamonds and gemstones are guaranteed to be the very best.

It is then sent to casting. We own some of the most advanced and up to date casting equipment allowing us to produce jewellery of exceptional quality. After the piece has been cast and checked, it then goes onto the first polishing stage and then is passed through to a dedicated team of stone setters. Through years of experience they can ascertain the strengths and weaknesses of each stone and type of setting, thus allowing them to set each gem in the best position and setting.

The item is again checked for quality and finally polished to perfection. Each piece is truly brought to life.

the item is then finally shown to the Designer to be approved.  at Pugata we don't compromise on quality and we take great care to make sure each item is perfect before delivery.
